Come and visit our spectacular Hares!
Leuchie House celebrates its 10th anniversary this year and has brought something BIG to East Lothian…
The Big Hare Trail is a spectacular public art event that sees, in partnership with Wild in Art, a drove of 10 giant Hares hopping their way across North Berwick from Saturday, 10th July for 10 weeks in 2021. Hare sculptures, each one individually designed by an artist and sponsored by a business, form a free, fun, family-friendly trail of discovery for local people to explore and enjoy!
After entertaining and bringing people together to enjoy the vibrant and creative culture that embodies East Lothian, the legacy of The Big Hare Trail continues as each of the sculptures will be auctioned to raise vital funds for a much-loved local charity with a national remit, Leuchie House.
Become a Trail Volunteer!
Our Trailmakers are a very special team of volunteers who act as friendly and inspiring guides to The Big Hare Trail, handing out maps, chatting to Trail visitors about the Hares, artists and sponsors, and keeping a careful eye on our Hares!
